I saw on one of the posts that the plastic racks on the Polaris ATV were "flimsy".Has anyone experienced any problems with them? Do the have a rigid metal frame underneath?

 

Yes there is metal supports under the plastic. I rolled my older sportsman over and it never broke a rack. Im on my third Polaris with plastic racks and none have broken.

 

My front one cracked on the front corner on about the fourth time I flipped it.......no big deal, I'd nicknamed it Frankenstein, anyway.

 

They are stronger than they look. I weigh 190 and can jump up and down on either one on my Xplorer. I have been told they get brittle in extreme cold and will break more easily, if you wreck it snow riding, for instance.
