I TOLD MY DEALER ABOUT THE REFLASH FOR MY 500EFI AND HE SAID THIER IS NO REFLASH FOR MY STALLING ,HESITATING, MISSING , AND SAID THERE IS ONLY A HIGH ALTITUDE REFLASH DOSE ANYONR KNOW A TSB OR WHAT THE REFLASH IS CALLED ?? I AM SOO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

we have reflashed 4 units so far and none have complained of stalling anymore. however none of these sputtered or hesitated. they would just quit at the moment the bike stopped moving forward. it is not a constant stalling just 2 to 6 times a day. tell your dealer to call polaris and they will inform them of what to do.

 

the three dealers i deal with here in colardo are all on top of these reflashes. the first one on my quad ;500 efi; was for stalling ect. it helped but still had some problems at altitude. the second reflash took care of this and gave me more power. i havent ridden at less than 7000 ft but i would recommend this. these bikes are programed to run rich for the first 50 hrs. if you have a problem they are also programed to go into limp home mode which makes them rich also. it sound like this is what yours is doing. there are several things you can check; sorry not enough time to list. these probs you are having are fixable pretty easy. not sure why you are having so much dealer trouble.

 

Both of ours are at the dealers now for the reflash. They said that the only reflash that is out is the high altitude flash. Hopefully it incorporates all the updates since the original flash. I had to fight with them to even get them to do it as the quads aren't under warranty anymore, but it has been a problem and documented since day one. It took a few calls to polaris and Polaris told them to do it. As much as I like the Polaris machines, the dealers here suck and these will be our last Polaris machines. Good luck on it and I'll post next week if the reflash helps or not as it will get tested this weekend on a long ride.
