that sounds reallly cheap. even if its an 03 i dont think its hard to replace an exhaust gasket for that price. im not even sure if they have exhaust gaskets. maybe something else is wrong.

somebody correct me if im wrong

There is an exhaust gasket, tow of 'em actually. They are between the head pipe and the cylinder head, in the exhaust ports. They'll be really easy to replace and cheap. But on every predator motor i've ever had apart so far, (4 thus far, and quite regularly so i'm pretty experienced) the studds on the exhaust side were bent, making putting the header back on a REAL pain! Not sure if this is intentional at the factory or just from excessive heat warping that area of the head. The best solution i've found is to put the nut back on the stud and tap it lightly with a hammer. this keeps you from messing up the threads on the stud. Only do this lightly and after you get everything fairly straight, slip the header back on. The clamps should fit better now. Again: BE GENTLE! the last thing you want is a broken stud.

If the header is not seated all the way, or the exhaust gasket is blown, you'll hear a loud *BANG*with every fire. If you hear this, and you've already replaced the gasket, tighten hte headers down more. Good luck

P.S. That seems like a good deal for an '04 or newer i'd say. If it's an '03, only in really nice condition would i pay that much. good luck again

Hey guys it is an 03 and they put a new gasket on today and i took it for a ride and to be honest I don't like it..It to me just felt like it was too wide and bulky feeling..it looks like its had a rough life and been neglected..so i think i may pass on it but i found a 2000 Trail Blazer 250 tonight for $2500 bux CDN...anybody have any comments about it?

I'll second the bulky feeling. My buddy just got a Pred and we switched on the trail just so I could ride it. I only rode it for about a mile and I couldn't wait to get off. It felt so odd. Not bashing Polaris. I own a Scrammy and we love it. Maybe I'm just so use to the Rappy that it made the Pred feel weird but it was an odd feeling. That sucker sure is fast though. Not quite as fast as the Rappy but it can hold it's own.
