Just bought a 2000 Trailblazer,In need of HELP
#1
I just bought a used 2000 Polaris Trailblazer. It's in pretty good shape.I am having some trouble finding a few things.First off,It's white and Yellow. My wife is wanting to paint or change body panels to black and pink.I need some help,I figured if I paint it,I could just sand it down put some adhesion promoter on it and prime it and then paint it black and pink for her. Will this work?
Next I am in need of some wheels, maybe aluminum or steel, whatever is available, but where can I find them? What is the bolt pattern on these wheels? Right now,I am in the process of having the top end rebuilt, porting and polishing, and doing an oil block off kit on it.
Please someone help me out on this matter,I am wanting to get it on the trail as soon as possible and so is she.She wants these colors to match the helmet and gear that she has.
Thanks for any help

First off I wouldnt paint the plastic.Get on ebay and look for GEN3 plastic or Scrambler,Trailblazer or Sport.Any yr fron 96-06 will interchange. There is white, red, yellow, blue, orange, red, and black from differant yrs.Or you could buy new from the dealer but it is high$$$$.
On the oil system I wouldnt do away with the injection system either. It very seldom messes up
(unlike other brands)On the topend if you arent going to pipe and clutch it I wouldnt spend the $$$$ to port it.But if you are going to out a pipe on later remember to stay far away from DG,FMF and any other than one of the ones that specailize in Polaris.

you can find some used wheels on ebay as well. scambler rims are the same as t. blazer as is the trail boss i beleave. good advise from ftwflh on the engine mods as well. unless your going to mod the air and exhaust porting is a waste in your case.

Thanks for the help.please keep the advice coming.I do plan on a pipe and even clutching it soon.So the oil block off thing seems to be bad.My only concern was that this is how I got it b/c the guy sold it cheap b/c of some type of hose coming off and stopping the oil from going to the motor.I just didn't want to have to fix this problem again. Thanks for the info,I did not know that the plastics were interchangeable.Where is the best place to get this?I don't really deal alot with ebay anymore.I've had a few problems that costs me alot of money.

Ebay is still the best on these parts but shipping is real high because of the size ans shape.
