Default Rev box 500 scrambler

Does anyone know where to get a hi perf cdi box for a 2001 srambler 500 4x4. Has anyone installed one? How much does it enhance the power. I just bought this 01 scrambler. It is stock.I bought a 2003 scrambler 500 4x4 for my wife a year ago. My 01 is slightly slower than HERS. Ouch!!!!. What I can tell is that hers has a megamax, air box modifications and jetting.I also ride a cr500 and am not in the habit of taking up the rear. My son and I don't race anymore so I needed something to ride with my agressive riding wife.I love the scramblers as they are in a class all by themselves. I just need more power. Thanks.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Dont mess with the CDI just get a pipe (slip on) a clutch kit and HPD air box mod and you will run with your wife.

*what he said

Scramblers are not actually electrically rev-limited. Thats why modds wake them up very easily. They will rev as high as their clutching//gearing will allow them. if you really want Horsepower for that motor, FST has a 632cc kti for it that is supposed to be hell on earth! lol! hope that stuff helps
