Ok,as I i've said before.I bought a 2000 Trailblazer,used.Well I just got it back from the shop and it was dirty,lots of oil and stuff everywhere,so I took some degreaser and sprayed all over it and then I hosed it off.Wellthe problem is,now it won't start and when I do get it to run for a second,it backfires a few times and cuts off.Should I just let it sit for a bit and then try to start or did I really screw something up bad.

Do you have a oil injection block off kit. It could also be that you got water in the carb.

 

no I don't I was going to do that but I was told I didn't need it.How do I get the carb drained.I am supposed to drain the oil out of the oil tank and mix gas and oil together he said b/c this is how I ended up rebuilding it in the first place,it failed on the guy I bought it from and it had to be rebuilt.

 

Let it dry real good and it should be ok.
