Water in the oil?
#1
I have a 2006 scrambler. Love it!! Im a neat freak and re-lube and clean after every ride... Im not bad with a wrench so i do all my own fluid changes and maintanance on it. I went for a nice long (30 miles) ride yesterday and was detailing it today. I noticed as i checked the oil, there was a white film around the inside top of the oil tank... didnt seem like it was down in the oil as i pulled the dipstick and let it drip out into my hand. It was still nice and green. Did some water get in thru the slit in the breather hose? cap wasnt loose, that i could tell. Machine has never run better so im a little concerned, dont want anything to be wrong with it... only has about 400 miles on it. Any suggestions or similar incidents?? Thanks guys...

thats what i hope it is... I do let it sit a long time in between rides. I dont get a chance to get out but once a month, if that. Is there anyways to prevent that? Is it real bad for it, or just something to live with?

its kinda like the ole fords that build it up from sitting or not letting them heat up all the way. not much you can do but change the oil more often. run good quality oil as well. not much otherwise should be fine to run it.
