Default Polaris Stealth 800

Just purchased a Stealth 800. I absolutely love this machine!! It rides like a dream and the power is awesome too. I was going to purchase the camo but chose the Stealth once I saw it in person. Polaris must have addressed the heat issue because there is no heat what so ever. The plush ride is super nice. I don't know if Polaris changed any of the clutching or not but, It will wheelie at will. I can't say enough good things about the Stealth. I've got to change my screen name...

I believe the clutching has changed between the 07 compared to the 06. I think they changed the primary spring and something else. I saw the Stealth and yes it looks nice.

Congragulations KAWIFAN, or should i say, STEALTHFAN lol.. I personally think you own the best machine that ATV world has to offer right now. And, do you have the dual exhaust? Because if you dont, you probably wont have any heat issues, because i think the dual exhaust was a big factor, and if you have a single exhaust, that should take care of the problem. Or it might not have anything to do with it lol, im not sure. Anyway congragulations.. I cant wait to get mine.

I dont think it was a dual exhaust problem. Buddy has a stock 06 700 that is melting. I think it is either bad plastic or just to close to the exhaust and not sufficient heat sheilds

Much of the heat issue is due to emmisions. These quads are set very lean in the low rpm range so thus create a lot of heat. HMF said the new Grizz 700 was off the chart in the A/F ratio on the low end which makes a lot of heat. Most melting is done at slow moving speeds in the low RPM range. A good efi module should cure this problem. This is the case with most efi quads.

Jonjon, the Stealth I saw had dual black exhaust.

Mine has the dual exhaust. I believe Polaris added heat shielding to the 07's.

Your missing a bolt on your rear bumper.

rear bumper.

Yeah, the bolt was over-tightened and was loose, I took it out. I have got to figure out how to fix it. I need to figure out how to put a nut on the back but the piece it is attached to is like a piece of channel iron and very difficult to get to.
