well i found a frame but it is a 2000. but my bike is a 2002 .i looked up the part #s and they are different. but the frames look the same.

i looked around in the parts books at allot of polaris model and year frames and it seems that they change the frame part #s every year. i doubt they actualy chage the frame ,maybe just the part #'s..?

do any of you know ant major reasons why i could not use a 2000 frame on the 2002 bike?

Is this frame where you can take some measurements or get some. Just take some ref one's off of yours and compare. If anything is diff. it could just be some mounting holes. If you are handy with a drill, cutter and welder you should be able to modd anything. LOL.

 

the bike is in pinsylvania and i am in florida. the dude sent me some pics of it up in a rack and i have seen the bikes before it looks the damn same to me. the bike is mostly asimbled he has. and i think he aint rely in top tearing it all down un til he sees some cash.

 

It will problably be hard to find anyone that has done this changeover before. As long as the arm location is the same and the diameter of the rear swing arm mounting is the same it should be easy. How bad is yours. If you know anyone that builds racecars, like dirt trackers, they might be able to repair it for you. Shipping from Penn to Florida will be expense. LOL with the project.

my frame is not realistcly repairable. The A arm mounts riped off the frant of the frame is all twisted and ripped and cracked the frontend is smushed so far in the oil cooler is crushed. the bike is shorter the motor mounts are all stretched and funny the plastic skid plate under teh bike is all crinkeled up because the bake is squished shorter. it is like a crushed beer can.

the guy jumped off of it before it crashed into the bolders. when he hit the ground it sucked his shoes off.
he was following behind me fast on a dirt road not realy dirt it is hard coral rock , with the lights off i turned off onto a trail at the end of the road and did a 180 to wait for him . and here he come full speed into the huge bolders they have to block off teh end of teh road,

i watched the whole thing happen because i had my lights on waiting for him. i could not belive my eyes. i here him coming then he screams holy $#!! and locks up the brakes and holds in untill there was just no way he would stop in time and bails off. i though he was not going to make it , like he would have to be helicopterd out of there or something it was a hard hit.

 

That sounds bad. I work with a guy who builds drag cars on the side and he does amazing work, but if the frame is twisted, it wasted. A lot of ATV wrecking yards sell stuff on ebay, wouldn't hurt looking and asking questions. They might not show it, but may have what you need closer.
