Default ranger engine brake

I was talking to my local dealer about purchasing a new Ranger and the one thing I don't like about the Ranger is that they don't have an engine brake. He said he could install a clutch from a new Sportman 800 that would provide the Ranger with an engine brake. But because of the extra weight of the Ranger, the clutch would wear a little faster. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

You don't need the engine brake on a Ranger. They have such good brakes it is never needed.

I would bet the EBS clutch would not last three months on a Ranger.

Cornbread2 is right. We tried that on a demo/promotion ranger we have and ended up removing it. don't do it.
