theres a clear plastic tube right behind the ignition switch on my '01 scram 500 ...it looks like some kind of a drain line or a breather ...i looked in the manual but its not addressed...one end came loose and i'm wondering if it needs to be connected somewhere...thanks

 

This is most likely teh gas tank breather line and would connect to the tank then route down. Mw scrambler has one also. Be careful not to pinch it. A pinched line will cause vapor lock and stall the engine.
