04 SP 400 Tire sizing issue
#1
So I've got an 04 SP400 with the stock 489's and I am looking at getting ITP Mud Lites XL. I ride on very hilly trails and snow. I went to the local Polaris dealership and the parts guy tried to steer me away form going with these kinds of tires. I say the heck with him, I want them. Now I need to know what size to get.
My stock tires are FR 25 x 8 - 12 and RR 25 x 11 - 10 .
I can only get the ITP Mud Lites XL in FR 25-8-12 (XL) RR 25-10-12 (XL). I plan on getting new wheels with them.
My questions is the rear tire size change going to be an issue?

you will have no problems going to a bigger size. you might want to consider the goodyear raw hides if you want to stay w/ the same size. i loved them on my 500 and they went just about everywhere.
