Is the AWD symbol under the switch lighting up? If it is then I would say your good there. Then check/change the front hub fluid. Its a pretty basic system and not realy all that complicated in my opinion. Are the front drive shafts spinning? When i baught my scrambler the 4x4 didnt work because of a crack in the tranny and the fron shafts didnt spin at all when in 2wd.

This is a newer style than yours, it doesn't have the "big" hubs. In 2wd, the older axles spin according to the drive train speed and newer ones spin by ground speed!

I bet something fell apart in the front differential ( i think some plastic part broke). After this happened it would engage from time to time but was completely unreliable. This happend to me last winter thankgod it was under warranty.

I would check the wires an see if there bear anywhere that it is shorting out. that would be what to start with.

Thanks for the help guys! I took it out yesterday after trying a little bit of everything yall had said and changed the fuse again just cause and it is working now its not working right but it is working now it just isn't wanting to come out of AWD even when I switch it back to 2wd the front wheels still kick in if my rear tires spin. Rather have that than no 4wd

I think your front diff got magnitized (making it engage). You could try changing the fluid it may help. I don't really understand the whole "magnitized" thing maybe someone else does.
