25's on Hawkeye?

I had to change an outter cv boot on my brother in laws Hawkeye that had a hole punched in it. No warranty on that which is understandable but if yours split at the seam then that sounds like a defect. I got the boot kit within a week of ordering it.
The 07 has much a thicker seat, 11 grease fittings instead of 5. All the rear suspension pivot points have fittings along with the front A arms now. The LE has the Aluminum Sportsman wheels and radial ACT tires. The carb is definitely dialed in, different rear sway bar and it feels like the suspension has been recalibrated, more plush. Rear lower control arms are different, improved more visable tail light. The crankcase venting is different with an extra vent line coming from the cam gear cover. There are lighter rollers in the primary clutch, that's all I can remember right now other than the bar grips are really poor but I switch everything to Oury's anyway so no biggy there.
I guess by leaving some things off they were able to make some needed improvements without raising the price of the machines but I would rather they left the parts on and raised the price a bit. As it is they get the money anyway by me ordering those parts deleted. All the parts that make up the seat latch are about 40 bucks but a new seat is 300 plus so I figure it's just cheap insurance. The seat may never come off but then again.....

I bought a brand new '07 with no regrets. They have the updated carb settings, and a strengthened rear end so the A arms don't break loose anymore. I wasn't aware the '06s had CV shields, so I'll have to look into that along with larger tires though where I ride the stockers haven't let me down yet. I'm 230 or so, and 5'11", and it has plenty of power to haul me around with enough left over that I don't think the bigger tires would hurt it that much.
06LimitedPred- Do you have a lift or something on yours? I'm curious about your red A-arms on the back. Mine are black just like the rest of the frame.

Drove an '06 at the dealer that had 25 mudlites on factory wheels. I am 6'2" near 250lbs and it pulled me find. The clutch seems to have a lot of stall to it. I like that they are on the narrow side and seem to turn sharp at low speeds because I ride a lot in some very heavy wooded areas. I will be picking it up next week. Getting ready to go on a New Years eve ride. Does anyone have the part no's for the rear arm repair kit. I might just buy them myself. The dealer saids he never seen one break there but had one that broke several halfshafts that was own my a teenager.

If you ride an '06 Hawkeye off road, you need an '07 Rear Sub-Frame. The dealer can find the part number. It looks much stronger, although I have not had a chance to test it yet. Still in the shop for a CV boot repair for over two months waiting on the part.
I wish I knew this before buying a Polaris.
