In South Dakota you can drive a quad on any roads except the Interstate. It just needs to be licensed with a horn, license plate light, brake/tail light and at least 200cc's.

next time you came or anyone of you to Europe (Swiss) send me messege first. then we go drive ATV together.

For us here in Swiss actually not that easy like in European Union Countries,we have own rules on ATVing,for 5 years until last year summer we can drive without helmet.but now have to wear them.And we also have to wait long for Homologation on ATV`s than European union country,etc ect etc.just because Swiss not belong to European Union. So if I go up to germany or down to Italy,some mod on accessories very needed.

Like you said,it is true. my plan is to go to East europe,down to Asia,Australia,flight to USA(LA) drive to NY Flight to Ireland,UK,Netherland,home. your input very needed.

I already prepare some. I hope I got more answer from the people and company and etc to realize this trip.

But if you guys know more where to contact,I am very happy to hear. for ex.Film producer (sport/documentation). I haven`t find them.

the only rd. you go on in maine if its reg. as an atv, is one that has been designated a access trail by putting atv signs up from a club. we have recently pasted new laws in the last couple of yrs saying that there has to be club trail signs up to use any trail on public or private land w/ out the permission of said land owner. you also need written permission on your person if your on farming land or agricultal land as well. most of us feel if we see no sign we no go. its a pretty big fine as well as loosing your atv if your caught, espec. if your caught on a posted trail saying its closed.

 

Agriculture\Farm use.

IL allows no tax purchases for ATV's used in farming.

 

When I was working in a bike shop just outside Phoenix, AZ about 6 years ago, I smog-tested several ATV's for road use! I used to see DS 650's ripping down highway 17 @ about 75 MPH !!

That place rules! You can put ANYTHING on the road there....just need a clown-horn & a cheap plastic bicycle mirror & you're good to go!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
