hello all i have a rather loud tapping noise down buy the oil pump dealer says it's normal anyone have any idea's what it could be thanks

 

Mine has the same noise,I asked my dealer about it and he siad that, that is normal because its a dry sump system.

 

My engine made a lot of racket when it was new but it has since quieted down. With the Benz ATV silencer muffling the exhaust, you can really hear ANY mechanical engine noise and let me tell you, mine produces next to no noise.

Keep tabs on the sound yours is making to make sure it doesn't get louder.

 

my 02 rapped a little but never worried about as i heard a few others do it as well.
