Default Ceramic Coated Pipe

I had my pipe done in red. I'm not sure if it was the 1300 or 2000 but it didn't last long. Where the pipe bolts up to the motor gets very hot. The red looked great (see my pics) but it started burning off in the fist 1/2 hour and by the end of a days riding the whole pipe had discoloured. I contacted the coaters and they re did it for free in silver (polished finish like the cans). I'm happy to say it is holding up well with no peeling or discoloration.

In doing the pipe and heat shields I haven't noticed any performance improvement but it sure reduce the heat around my leg. The plastic no longer gets chewy on hot days at slow speeds.
