Default 2006 Sportsman 800 EFI missing and backfiring problem

I have a 800 sportsman EFI with 67 hrs and 800 miles. I recently took it back to the dealer and had the fuel tank replaced (fuel gauge not working). The next ride after the machine warmed up it started to sputter and backfire. If the machine is cold I have no problems, but once it warms up it starts. I have looked for other posted with the same problems to see what they have done. Thanks, for any advice.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

the only thing i can think of is maybe (if it ran good b4 service work)is they either pinched the hoses or maybe the wires causing bad connection or a lean condtion from lack of fuel. just a gues though. if it ran fine b4 i would be on the phone or go back and tell them it was fine b4 what did you do to it. mine always ran fine w/ 680 miles on it.

Also Check the fuel petcock valve if it has one, it may be turned partially on.

efi's dont have a petock.
in the post about the 500efi sputtering it seems like there was a problem with a wire under the tank

Check the little sensor right in front of the air filter box on top of the hose, Mine come lose just hooked it back and zipped tied it.

EFI equipped machines don't come with a fuel shutoff valve?

That would be correct! No shut-off valve.
