No Snow
#1
Six years ago I bought a 9hp snowblower and it did not snow for two years in Maryland. Today I had a Glacier snow plow installed on my Hawkeye, so for those of you in the Maryland area, that should pretty much guarantee us a snow free winter (lol). I wish all of you a happy holiday season.

Hey Sat,
I know what ya mean man. I just bought a glacier
plow myself this week as my Christmas present
to myself. I live in the central Maryland area myself
and no snow as the rest of the US is getting blasted
out west. I still have that funny feeling with having
the milder winters this is our year for the 26" snowfall.
Maybe we'll be the ones in demand and people throwing
bills out at us as we dig them out with our plows?
Then again maybe NOT?

It seemed like I plowed for a week straight in November, sometimes more than once in a day. But we haven't had snow for about two weeks now. We've barely had 100 inches this season so we're bound to get another 100 before winter is over.

i too bought a snow blower, used from a guy that used it once last season, 30inch husquavarna 11hp dual stage $820 he had 1250 into it.
now if i put a plow on my new 06 500efi, that will pretty much insure another non eventfull snowless winter.
i am certainly jealous of the guys out west!!!

Just opened my boxes today on
my Glacier II plow system, brackets, mount
and frame etc. and reading thru the assembly
instructions doesn't seem to bad. The tech
I talked w/at Ridersville Cycle said it takes him
2 hours (w/exp) to assemble. Anyone put these
on before? Any tips or gotcha's you could give
me before I get started?
Much obliged and Happy New Year you'all!

I have the plow system also. The mounting bracket to the frame is easy if you put the quad up on the ramps for easier access to the underside. The rest is simple. There are only two clamps you pull to lock it to the bracket, hook it to the winch and off you go. The thing I like the most is the height it can be raised, since there are no push tubes. Mine raises nearly a foot off the ground. Although like myself, you to have ensured us all a "snowless" winter. Good luck on the install.
