why do people bad mouth polaris?

ever here people bad mouth ford or chevy? they are both top sellers so how
can they be as bad as some people say? same is true of polaris they are one
of the top sellers of atv's & people return to buy them again. Some of the early
polaris atv's had some trouble's, but polaris was new at atv's & did not have
dirt bikes to take any history from, plus polaris always tried to bring new first's
to atv's witch in the long run got them were they are now, but yes there were
some bumps along the way. Polaris is not for all people, like those that want
the lightest atv in each class. But for many they are a fine choice!!!

wow, the sportsmans dont come in manual? no affense but forget that....i dont want a belt...not just polaris, but no belt from arctic cat or anything..... it'd be just another thing to worry about when i'm in water and mud....i'd much rather a manual but if i did come accross an amazing deal (found a deal for i think a 2004 polaris sportsman 700 for 2500) then, i'd go for it lol.....

i think that most people in general, tend to badmouth something that they do not understand.
i think that if given the chance, most of the haters would change thier mind if they rode one in a real situation. test driving one at a dealer, never reveals thier full capabilities. but if they are true haters, then they will always find something to complain about.
i come across people all the time that look down on my scrambler. but then i let them ride it for a bit. its great to see thier smile on their face when they get back. they always say,"damn! thats a pretty sweet ride!"

NO. utility worth it's weight, in trail, mud, water has a manual tranny. The AC 500 is the best for manual. But manuals in utilities are a thing of the past. My belt got wet once. I had to baby it for 5 mins, that totally beats the hell out of shifting that entire 10 hour adventure!

What is all the talk about belt drives and water?......My two Sportsmans 450's went all summer LOTS of water (even over the racks) no belt slippage at all.....Just keep them sealed........THAT ALL....If you don't have a belt drive .......or never owned one ......how can you complain about belt slippage!!!!!!!!Just my view on the whole belt drive quad topic........THANKS............Caper......

this is just my 2 cents but i have a 06 500efi sportsman i like it but have had a few problems 1. broke the belt 2. broke the drive chain wich might be because of jumping it about 8 feet in the air and on the brake when landing 3. the fuel pump whent out 4. the starter just quit thank god it has a pull start. sometimes i wish i would have but something else but i have beet the **** out of that poor quad. i dont think that most quads would take that kind of a beeting. i do have a kfx 700 wich has had more abouse then anything i have ever seen and has never missed a bet. i hav 2 say that kawi makes a pretty tough quad, if i was to buy some thing eles it would be a brut force just be cause of what my kfx has gone though pretty tough.
