Default runing cooler

howdy yall i have a 2004.5 sportsman 700 and the fan is shot, since ive owned the thing ive noticed the fan kicks on often/alot, i use it for hunting primarily, but plowing in the winter, was wondering if theres a way to get it to run cooler, also i got really stuck last august and blew out both front cv joints and a belt, im assuming that the clutch needs to be balanced or adjusted. Im running 27" mudhogs and was wondering what a good cluch kit might be. And with the awd selector in the off position, and the tack screen saying its off, seems like theres always a front wheel pulling, like theres no tru 2wd is that normal???

Go to your parts store and get a can of water wetter, or a simalar product, half a can in the radiator makes quite a difference, make sure your radiator is clean. I put the 800 belt on my 700 seems to be stronger. Change the fluid in the front diff, use the polaris hub drive fluid and see if this helps.

For a clutch kit I would recomend the HeelClicker. You don't mention anything about doing maintainance. Do as k-bird says and change fluids and also completely remove the radiator from the machine and give it a good cleaning. No matter how good of a job you thing you do on the radiator, it will not be completely clean until you take it out.

if your going to a product in the rad to help keep it cooler make sure its compat. w/ the antifreeze so it wont harm or it wont make it freeze up in real cold temps. there a product thats called radiator relief that you add w/ your antfreeze that wont harm nor change the freezing point. use anywhere between 4 to 8 onces w/ the 2 qt systems we have.

Just another fact here the Rads usually plug from the rear or back where the fan is...Check that area and clean good...Taking it out is best.....caper.....

Seeing light through it and haveing it clean are not the same. It will be cloged in the corners and in the center where the the fan blade hub is. I would also not recommend the 800 belt. It may cause creeping or make it hard to shift gears. Stay with the recommended Polaris brand belt.
