Default Scrambler fuel leak problem solved!

I've recently gone onto this forum to find a solution for a fuel leak on my 2005 scrambler 500 HO. Fuel was coming out of the overflow tube and getting progressively worse. I found a lot of solutions pointing to the needle and seat and /or a plugged vent tube. Both sound like likely candidates but neither fixed my problem.

For others who may have the same issue I had I'd like to share my fix. The seat fits into the body of the carb over the fuel inlet port. The seat has an 'o' ring that holds it in snug. After taking my carb apart twice, messing with adjusting the needle and seat, I discovered the seat was wobbling inside the fuel inlet port. It finally clicked, that aint right. It then made sense the needle and seat was working properly but fuel was seeping past the seat 'o' ring where it sits in the fuel inlet. I changed the 'o' ring (I beleived it was called a #6 purchased from Home Depot) put the carb back together and viola, ITS FIXED!

Hope this helps anyone having the same problem.

BTW, my scrammy only has about 35 hours on it. The fuel leak started slow (only leaking drops when not running) to a stream (even while running!).
