Default '06 Scrambler 500 Problem!

Anyone had problems with their scramblers, this quad was brand new and luckily still under warranty, when the chain popped due to the bearings failing. The dealer thought the chain was too tight, however it wasn't touched since dealer set-up. Just wanted to know if anyone else had problems witrh their new models.

Something similar has happened on a couple others that I am aware of. The axle retaining nut has work loose and ruined the bearings, carrier, chain and sprocket. They need to make sure and lock tight that thing.

This quad was purchased brand new on 5 Jul 06 letting it sneak in on the warranty. It has over 750 miles (the speed/odom kit was put on a few weeks after purchase. The dealer thought the chain was overtight, but bigbluescrammy's explanation seems more likely. Thanks for the replies.

Any reason given for your bearing failures?
