Default Magnum Reverse Limiter

I currently have a 95 Magnum 425 and the override button is missing from the switch on the handlebars but I can go as fast in reverse as I can going forward. I am going to replace the entire switch assembly but is this going to affect anything on the reverse limiter. Just kind of wondering if that has anything to do with the override button being removed. Thanks

if you hook it back up to stock then you'll have to use it to override to go fast in reverse and to make the awd drive work in reverse as well i do beleave.

That's kind of what I thought. So it may not do me anygood to just buy a new switch as it sounds like I will probably have to hook the wire up again somewhere?
