I have a 2006 500efi that makes a noise when idling in park or neutral. Shift into gear and it goes away until the machine is hot and I am riding slow. Sounds like annoying ringing noise. Does not seem to be associated with engine rpm. Former Honda owner not used to odd noises. Is this normal? Dealer not concerned.

 

If it did not make weird noises then it would not be a Polaris. Polaris' make all kinds of noises. Not saying that they are bad. I have a sp600 and it clings, and clanks and it has done it since day one. It has 2300 miles on it now. If its not broke then dont fix it.
