I reccomend taking the winch off the ATV, so you can place the winch with the cap in the upward position. I think there is a spring, or something, i cant remember, but take the cap off slowly, and you will get a good look at it.

completely disassembled the slow/loud warn motorand geartrain every piece was taken apart and cleaned you would not believe the amount of dirt and krud in it....cleaned and re-lubed with high temp wheel bearing grease(recomended by warn) and this thing may just be better than new (quiter for a fact) dont know about the pulling power but it sounds alot better..i will do this more often... real easy and when you see all of the shi** inside you will agree this is one more thing to add to the maintance list .lol.. just do it you will be amazed at the difference.. took a hr and a 1/2 from the quad to back on

Default venom winch ?????

I just bought a venom winch and haven't installed it yet. Where exactly do you put the grease at? Right once you take the cap off, do you pack grease around that cylinder or do you have to take the whole end of the winch off up to where the cable and stuff is in the middle of the winch. I was just making sure before I put the winch on the 4-wheeler. THanks
