Default gear noise - is a little normal??

I'm wondering if Polaris transmissions general have a little gear noise. The gears in mine (2001 Scramber 4x4) are straight cut so I would expect some noise. I know straight cut is stronger that helical cut so that is fine. Anyway, having never owned a Polaris before this one I'm not sure how the transmission is supposed to sound.
Thanks,
Jim

More than likely you're hearing the CVT howl. This is normal. However, I'd check to oil level in the trans. ASAP!!
