Outlaw - One year wonder with KTM????????
#1
Yes, Some have heard me say this recently on another thread. My dealer sells KTM and Polaris. He had said a couple weeks ago he thought this would be the only year for the KTM Outlaw. Saw him again today (been looking at the Scrambler) and asked if he still thought that. He says he still believes that strong possibility and he should know more after a dealer meeting to take place in a couple months. My dealer is not one just to say stuff. He talked again about the new KTM quad KTM has.
Of course he says this maybe the last year for the Scrambler too because the Pred has eaten away at it's sales. He is not trying to sell me on the Scrambler as he has mentioned the Pred might be more for me. He knows I won't change my mind now on the Scrambler.
Having talked about this on another thread, I'll just read the comments with interest without the need to reply.

Dealers who speak, don't know.
Dealers who know, don't speak.
Anyone that believes wholeheartedly in these dealers has probably had the wool pulled over their eyes more than once. At the very best it should be taken with a truckload of salt and a barge of skepticism.
We'll assume for a moment it's got a good bloodline. It could still be an attempt to hike up sales of the Outlaw 525 so that Polaris has bigger sales numbers to keep the partnership strong. But unless it loses a horrendous amount of money, there's already too much invested to end it after just one production year.

Been to one dealer and asked about the KTM venture (this was about a year ago). The person I spoke with didn't have a clue.
Was at another dealer this past weekend, and asked about the 525 and the RZR.
He said he'll have a 525 hopefully in April, but now he can't sell the 500's he has.
The RZR he hopes to have at the end of April. That I would like to see in person.
