What kind of oil am I supposed to use in my Scrambler 500 4x4????????

Does it have to be the $8 a quart stuff from the shop or can u use some kind of synthetic oil or something?

 

You can use any good quality oil in your scrambler.

 

Best to stay with the Polaris 0w40 synthetic.They use that due to some cam trouble they have had in the past.

 

I use Amsoil 0/40 in my Scrambler. I believe it's the best oil on the market and it's a touch cheaper than the Polaris oil. I'm not trying to get another debate started so I said I believe so you Amsoil haters don't start blasting me.

You can basically use any oil you want as long as it is compatable with your quad but Polaris does require synthetic.

 

This engine needs a good quality synthetic oil. It does NOT have to be the Polaris oil.

I use and highly recommend Castrol Syntec 5w50 but there in nothing wrong with Amsoil. It is better than the Polaris oil.

 

Does Polaris "MAKE" their own oil? If not what brand is in Polaris (maybe SHELL?) !!!!!...Caper.
