Type of Helmet
#2
Well with the open face helmet you will need googles to protect your eyes. With the full face you will use the flip down sheild which is more convienent in my opinion but may fog up in cold weather since you are breathing inside it. I wear a full face with clear sheild and sun glasses.

I'd suggest a full face w/ goggles, depending on how tight the trails are and how aggresively you ride. Keeps ya from getting blasted in the kisser w/ branches. Goggles protect your eyes, ya only get two.
If your just puttering and the branches aren't an issue...probably an open face.

Any helmet...as long as you make sure to wear one. Also, if you can afford a bit extra...the helmets with the "coolmax" type liners really add to the comfort on long rides. Within moderation...you always get what you pay for.
