They do seem like really nice machines, i like that its 47" wide and you can get a-arms for i that widen it to 50",
I hear they have a good power plant, but 2003 (first year) has a tranny that misses shifts
If i were to get one, it would be an 04, because i think the tranny was fixed that year, but it still has a tendency to spin instead of wheelie, and it powerslides really easily i hear and that is good because i hate bicycling.

apparantly different years have diffent length swingarms so that experience might vary, i noticed mine would wheelie anytime i had something for the rears to get traction on, yes they powerslide very easily, the rear feels like it's extremely light, much better than bicycling, you just have to make sure you don't slide the rear end too far and into a tree on the trail you're on lol

03's have long swing arms, in 2004 the swing arm was shorted so wheelies were easier (they were already easy, the front end is light as hell)
in 2005 reverse was added and the updated Troy Lee Designs model was released (orange) it featured a close-ratio transmission and fox Podium X shocks with rezzies in the front. the Close Ratio transmission made the quick revving motor rev even faster and absolutely climb through the gears like no ones business. TLD models are as fast in acceleration than Honda TRX-450R's if you can manage to keep the front end planted on the ground durring a first gear launch
when i drag on hard pack and pavement i have to start in second gear, rev it up and drop the clutch so the front end will stay within a foot of the ground. Nicholas Cycle builds some of the fastest predators in the world and they all run on gasoline. hes pulled 4 second 300 yard drags on gasoline
www.nicholascycle.com is the place to go for predator race and hop-up equipment, his 574 motors are insain. Rath Racing is also a fantastic predator-hop up site. they sell the wider A-Arms and a awesome header that coupled with a HMF can is the best set up you can do on the market.
the only thing that limits the predator is its motor, the block of the Fuji 500 is HEAVY

I sure hope you didn't steal the Predator you're riding, kind of odd for an owner not to know.
Go down to first gear, then while turning the reverse switch downshift again, that puts it in reverse.
