Will be getting new wheels on my Predator 500 soon. Has anyone went with 19" tires on theirs?

 

what kind of riding do u do?

 

I just put 22" Maxxis RAZR 2's on my YFZ and it still spins em on pavement no problem, so Im sure a Pred would do fine with 19"s. If you do alot of tight trails and mud like I do you are gonna want a bigger tire, if you ride on a track then the 19"s will be fine, all depends on the type of riding you will do.

 

I know where you're going with that. I do quite a bit of woods trials and some motocross track so I should stay with the 20's, but I thought I'd ask. Maybe the XC's would be a good choice?

 

if you do alot of woods riding and mud i would recommend maxxis razr2's, my buddy put them on his 450r and they hook up great and slide when needed. he stuck with 20"

 

Thanks Crash, I also ride with a buddy with the 20" IRazr's and like them. I also have a friend with the GNCC 20" on his YFZ. They both love them. I probably should stick with at least the 20" as the Pred spins the tires more than enough as far as I'm concerned since I have the close transmission.

 

the Razr2's and the iRazr's perform ALOT differently from each other, alot of people dont like the iRazr, and alot of people do. the Razr2 is a really grippy tire, though along with that, its rather heavy too - atleast in a tire sense. fantastic tire.
