Default Antifreeze check

I just tried to check my antifreeze strength but after I took the cover off the overflow resevour I could'nt get the hose in from the tester, there was a rubber stopper in the way or something. How do you test?

Does the Factory set the freeze-point for the rad....Or is it the dealers due to the different locations all these quads are sent(U.S. and CAN.) EX. warmer and colder climates....Thanks...Caper.......

as far as i know they are factory set since the dealers dont fill them. i ment to pry off the insert up thats under the cap. it should be good for at least -30 below f. a 60/40 mix is good for that i think since a 50/50 is good for -40
