Default oil tank question

I have a 2006 scrambler..it seems that everytime I take the dip stick out after a ride, it has white film around the top of the cap. There is none down in the oil, from what I can tell by pulling it out. I know this usually means theres water in there but im not losing coolant. Can it be condensation form the heat of the oil? I ride in western new york and its been about 15-20 degrees and a nice amount of snow around here. Anyone else have same issue to ease my mind?

Default oil tank question

mine and my brothers scramblers both do the same thing and we live in northern Illinois, just as long as the oil is not milky your fine i try to wipe it out once in a while just becuase i don't like the idea of that being in there but it shouldn't hurt anything.

Default oil tank question

I heard reports of people freezing the oil lines and burning up engines in the winter because of condensation. I change my oil every fall.
