I just became a member, so I'm new to posting. I just bought a '01 SP 500 H.O. and love it so far. Polaris has come out with a sportsmans deluxe plow system that doesn't have a mounting bracket under the frame. My question is,if anyone has tried one of these yet to see how they work. I have one on order and waiting for it to come in.
Excellent forum, great information for people new to the sport. Thanks.

When you get it and try it out, please repost and let us know what you think. The mount looks like a great idea. Quick on and off with no loss of ground clearance.

We have more snow in the forecast for Sunday, so I'm going to look at them tommorrow. Local dealer has them in stock. I'll post back after I see it.

I'm also a new member and interested in this system. I currently have a price of $290. for a cycle country plow kit. Is this a good price. It's a 60" plow, and the work power 2000.

We have several of the frames in stock and they look pretty good. Only problem is that as of now you cant get the front attachment bracket separate if you want to lift with your winch, you have to buy the whole manual lift kit just to get the bracket. Dosn't look too hard to make though.

I went and looked at the new system today. Looks like a pretty good system. Only 1 small bolt on braket up front, and the main load bearing point is the trailer hitch. Looks like about a five minute job to pick up or drop the whole thing.

The only thing I dont like about it is that with the thing on, you have like NO ground clearance. I know, your plowing and making your clearance. It just bothers me. That and the $409 that the dealer wants for the sytem. And that's without the manual lift.

Chopper Bill, is that price out of line. I know he doesn't discount at all. I just wonder if he is marking it up on me. Oh, that price is WITH tax.

Sorry for a late reply, but been busy all weekend. That price isn't out of line. I got a price of $472 with bracket and manual lift. It's a steep price but I love the idea of all "off" and all "on" don't loose ground clearance in the summer time. I'm still waiting for bolts to come in that was lost in shipping. I might have to go somewhere else. I've been waiting almost two weeks for this system. I'll let everyone know how it works after I get to use it. Sounds like I need it today. We are suppose to get another 4 - 7 inches today.
