Key for Hawkeye? Here's a tip.
I'm kinda obsessive-freaky about keys. My mother must have lost her keys and had a panic attack when I was in utero, because I always insist on having plenty of spare keys for everything....just in case. So I naturally wanted extra keys for my Hawkeye. Dealer sells me 2 blanks ... for NINE DOLLARS APIECE...
... that's not good.
Furthermore, they don't cut keys.
... that's not good.
I take the blanks to Ace Hardware and have them cut, THEN to find out the dealer had sold me the wrong blanks.
... not good X3.
They looked right to me, but they weren't right. I didn't TRY the blanks in the ignition beforehand because I had faith in the parts guy.
... apparently, that wasn't smart.
Back to the dealer. Surprisingly they don't give me any difficulty about a refund, but they simply cannot sell me the correct key blank for my machine. It is not just a matter of the dealer having them in stock. He tells me (complete with turning his fiche reader around and pointing to an empty space on the list), that there is no part # listed for the key blank for this machine. .... an '06 model, an NO KEY available for purchase. None whatsoever.
... not good times four.
So, I went back to Ace Hardware with my Hawkeye key in hand. They cannot stock official, look-it-up-in-the-book, keys to fit Polaris. Undaunted, the fine, cute-as-a-bug dept manager there (thanks, Karen!) went straight to work and found a blank for me. It has a different head shape than the factory keys, the head is big and kinda round. It is a blank for "The Club". It works, and at only $2.49 each.
My recommendation: even if your dealer DOES have your key blank, don't pay nine dollars for it. My key blank: # CB16, for The Club.

Key for Hawkeye? Here's a tip.
The more I read the forum the more I think Polaris needs to do some dealer education. Each key has a four digit number on it. In the Service Manual (mine is on page 1-6) there are instructions to take the first two digits and compare in the included table. The table gives the part number for the key blank for your particular ignition. My dealer has the blanks in stock for $5.99 each and this is in Hawaii. He also has the plastic key covers in yellow that he is throwing in for free.
