at 62 I have same problem but with heat/humidity so I tend to let my Polaris just hang together in summer and work on it in cooler months

also them hips dont work so good anymore so really hard doing most jobs - much easier sitting at puter in air con room

not sure I want to go back to camp site too soon as 3 feet of rain in last 3 days so Polaris is probably sitting in water up to axels and will need MORE work to get it going again

its quite amusing up there as a lot of retired folk and most have an ATV but in truth most are using it more as a wheelchair than anything else - bit sad

I hope i never get old (18) because i just cant fathom the fact that you would not want to go riding. Yes, no one wants to work on anything.. well some do.. But anyway, i want to go riding every weekend possible. However i am from Alabama so yeah.

Try this:

1. Fire up the heater (kerosene in my case) and give it a few hours to warm the garage.
2. Bring a six pack of beer and some music out there.
3. Fix the ATV.

4.

Instigater, I hear you. It's been nippy lately, so I'm putting off the 50 hour service as long as I can. We went out on a frozen beaver pond in NH on Saturday and had a blast. It does get a bit harder to enjoy when it is 15 degrees and you're adding a 50mph wind chill to it.... If anyone hasn't tried them yet, AWD donuts on ice are a blast if you don't mind giving your head a minute of two to readjust. Just crank the steering to one side and let 'er rip. I had a 50 foot long string of loops going in the snow covered ice. I decided I didn't need the centrifuge training anymore when I almost fell off after stopping. Still fun. Forgot the ski tube to pull the kids around. Ice is safer, none of those obnoxious trees that jump out at the kids when doing donuts.
