Scrambler 500 chain slack??

Default Scrambler 500 chain slack??

I'm puting a new chain and sprockets on and I was wondering what is the wright amount of "chain slack" that there should be?? Thanks alot!
PS: Whats the best way to get at that snap ring on the front sprocket?

having a snap ring tool is nice

chain slack is say 1/4" at full compression

Default Scrambler 500 chain slack??

Your 2000 probably has concentric drive (sprocket coming right off the transmission instead of going through the frame) so the adjustment is 3/8 to 1/2 inch without compressing the suspension.
