Default BACKUP LIGHTS ON POLARIS

Hey guys here's a little something I done the other night to my 500 SP, it wasn't much but it works great. Not sure if you have this problem but my riding buddies were always complaining I'd leave my backup lights on when we were riding. I couldn't tell when I was on the bike that they were on but when they got the chance they would let me know. so I went to the local auto supply store and I got a illuminated switch that fits right in where the factory backup light switch was. This way here when the lights are on the switch is lite. not much of a mod but my friends love it because they are always behind me...lol !!!!

Nice idea. I'll have a look at the switches next time I visit my friendly NAPA store.

I found that I never used my back up lights for the reason that I'd forget to turn them off. When I wired up my rev override it was only a little more work to wire the lights to the rev switch on the trans, so i did and then used the original switch to turn off the rev override whenever I'm not needing it. Very slick and stock looking and I never have to worry about leaving the lights on

Well I was going to go to Royal to get myself a "BIG BOX" for my rack and the G/F said if I got one she wouldn't ride with me anymore. She feels that it's tippy, and she can't touch the floorboards as it is. And she figures thats just more room for beers lol. So unless I could rig up something for her to rest her feet on I'll be without a XXL beer cooler lol. But I feel way more cramped on the Sporty compared to the Scrammy, The seat is way shorter, so she might be getting a seat anyways. Any ideas on what to do for passanger footrests?

Lately I've been tearin around on the snowmobile trails like a madman. Sooo much powder and fun. Hand and thumbwarmers are the cats A$$. And last night I pulled a Ford Ranger out of the ditch. That 3000# winch sure is nice. I'm sure you're thinkin about sleddin and the bike is in the back of your mind, but it will be spring soon enough and you'll have to come play in the mud with me again.
