4x4 Xplorer problem

Default 4x4 Xplorer problem

the front 4x4 will not lock in. all the drive shafts will spin but it wont spin the wheels. any help would be great.

If both wheels are NOT getting power to them, then I think it must be an electrical issue such that neither armature plate is getting current. The first check I would do is make sure there are no electrical issues with the fuses, wires, etc. Usually if you have a hub problem it would be one or the other but not both, so check for electrical issues.

Default 4x4 Xplorer problem

thanks. we can not get power to the switch. where are the fuses? im trying to get a service manual for it.

Default 4x4 Xplorer problem

On your particular model I am not sure where it is. Try looking under the plasic in front of the gas tank.
