I purchased a 03 Polaris 250 Trailblazer and started doing some routine maintenance and when I got to the filter it was nasty dirty [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] . I took it to the dunes once and out trail riding once. I'm still pretty new to quading and this is the only quad I have that has the K&N filter (others are factory). The cover over the filter is also in bad shape, I'll probably have to replace it since it has a few small rips. Shame on me for not checking it before hand [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] .

My question is how and what do I use to clean the filter and what type of oil do I use? Also, how much oil? Thanks.

buy yourself a K&N filter recharge kit. it has everything you need and instructions on how to do it

You can get the K&N cleaning kits at auto parts stores! Always try to rinse from the inside - out
