Default cyclone carb settings

Hello, I just picked up a 87 cyclone for 250 $ but the people before me had everything all screwed up. I put new piston rings in it and it has good compression and spark but it still wont fire. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the stock carb settings for it? It is a 250 cc (244). The frame says W877828 and there is no numbers on the carb. I searched the internet and found nothing. thanks for the help, Ben All it says on the carb is Mikuni Kogyo

Try this Parts Link. Enter the year and model and look up the carb. It list what jets should come in it. If no one else has answered you, I'll check my book when I get home to get you more info.

Default cyclone carb settings

Hi just checked out that site and it's a great site looked at many of the schematics ( very cool)
but it won't give settings . If you do have info at home it would be great.
I triedas much as I can as far as playing with settings and have not stumbled on the combo yet.
Thanks for your time,

ok here are some of the settings from my Climer manual.

Carb Model VM34SS
Main Jet 200
Needle Jet O-4(166)
Jet Needle 6DH5-3 (clip in the third slot)
Pilot Jet 40
Idle needle 1 turn out
Idle rpm 800

With an older ATV like that Cyclone, you will probably need to replace the Primary and secondary clutch springs. they are usually shot if they haven't been replaced in the last few years. What kind of compression are you getting on it? Look at a climer manual for the early model Poalris. It will be a bible for that bike.
