trailblazer rear shock upgrade
#1
Hi everyone,
My wife has a 2006 trailblazer and we are looking for a heavy duty shock for the rear. Does anyone know where we can get one? Would a polaris dealer have this upgraded shock? Or is there an online place that someone here knows that have rear trailblazer heavy duty shocks? Thanks

Try this guy. Might work but expensive, $559
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Works...spagenameZWD1V
The ad says
"Works Quadstar Rear Shock with single rate spring. All Works shocks will be custom built shocks for each model ATV or ATC
Quadstar with resevior
QuadStar with Remote reservoir, Single-Rate Spring and Threaded pre-load. Durable steel body and massive 5/8-inch diameter shaft for toughness and long life.
Heavy-duty replacement/upgrade for many ATV's, even back to the three-wheelers. Cost effective alternative for many older machines."

Does it have the Fox shock? If not, they're pretty reasonable on Ebay (they come std. on most Scramblers - will bolt right on). If you do have one, somebody that knows what they are doing could revalve it to do most anything you'd like?

<<<are you saying that the scrambler models come stocked with the heavy duty shock for trailblazers? >>>
Yessir..... well, not exactly. It would work as a heavy duty substitute for the shock you have. There are heavier/better shocks avaialble (as witnessed above), but bucks spent for bang received, most of us will have a tough time beating it. It came standard on most year Scramblers - 400 or 500.

I've heard of using the Fox shocks off the Scrambler too. But, I've also heard about some years not working on some models.
So you might want to check the travel of the Fox and compare it what the 06 has. If it matches, I'd just get one of those.
Edit: I think it was where the actual reservoir sat that made the problem. Seems like some said to put it in backwards, but I really can't remember. Getting old blows.
