Quick questions does this thing have reeds to replace?


Like if i spent like money to get a nice pair of high performance reads (hp) will it be worth it?

 

250 Trailblazers have NO reeds.Cll Ritter on his stage1 kit

 

You would have to send your moyor to one of the 2 companys that do the Reedcage conversions. An when it is done it add alot of HP to them. I have a pic of mine in my pic page

 

What places do this? is it a bolt on system? is it expensive ? I was on thaT site az bad boy or w/e but there is no links,no info ,no phone number eather

 

I see that the AZ site is down unless someone else know if they have a new address. I didn't see it listed on HPDs web site so might have to call them an ask if they still do it. It is not a bolt on process they have to do some milling on the cyclender. I will look around some more see if can find something on Az bad boyzz. If really intressed in the reedcage motor IM me think of parting ways with mine.

 

It is a major mod that isnt cheap.

That would be another one to talk to Rick on.HPD used to offer a complete reed mod kit with all the goodies for $1500.But for that price you could sell the 250 and get a nice 400/500 Scrambler.

 

Dang im not spending 1500 on that, but why on aaen.com it shows the following under 250 performance

Im confused, it says reed cage,arent those replace ment reeds? but if it does not have em then how can u buy em?


And for the carb what does it mean reed cage? does it mean it has the reed converison already installed on the cArb

Your reeds go inside the reed cage and with the added cage you need more carb.
Add all that together with a pipe and stuff you get over $1500.
