well mi thoughts on that chain is that u should have an Oring chain.....now are u looking for more speed or are u looking for low end now im guessin that ur looking for speed right.........an as far as sprocs i would go with bigger sprocs which doing so u will loose some low end power but will have some what faster top end

 

Im really trying to do both , like put on this that increase both acc and top, so i have a well balanced bike,


Right now i ready to actually go inside the age and clutch and carb to see what i should do, next weekend ill take to my uncle and see what he can come up with and if he knows anyone localy to do it

 

im thinking here that maybe if u lowerd the teeth on the sprocs. u should be able to get the low end power ur looking for....now is the clutch kit ur looking at for top end right

 

Well the clutch kit i have was done before i got the bike but its hpds clutch kit that was made for the bike or w/e


Im thinking i may lighten the flywheel if i dont get it ported and polish cuz i dont have the 300$ to spend on the p&p right now, so maybe ill wait and just get the fly wheel lightend and maybe see what else my uncle can suggest to do...


Does anyone think spending 80$ on a speedometer for my quad a good idea? or no? should i just buy more perf. parts istead?


Cuz right now i have 88$ to spend and im getting like 60-75$ in the next week..and i have exttra jar of change i keep so maybe i can save up to get my flywheel lightend and also a speedometer? unless everyone thinks its a waste?

Ok i emailaed my uncle and he said that he says if i have the money to get it port and polished, if not that he will see what his mechanic can do....



So about that speedometer?? Anyone find one cheaper?


Also if i didn't want to take apart the engine yet, what are some other mods i can do ? that are bolt on or something?

 

i have the same thoughts about my 300ex what i did was put on fmf pipe and muffler, mikuni 43mm round slide carb, k@n filter took off the air book lid,and procom cdi. that can give you about 7hp.putting on a bigger front sprocket gives more speed smallier more lowend. bigger rear sprocketgives more lowend smallier givies more speed.

 

i say its best to keep your old plastics everyone i know break theirs in about a week of getting the quad or getting know ones. my plastics are all scrached and got mud on them the mud been on them for about two months

 

How much did you pay for the carb? on hpd for my bike its 250 to mee that seems like a lot for a carb
