Or just u buy a new scproket and chain? and some other mods?
the carb is worth the $180 for one reason thats the cdi lets you get highier rpm. at highier rpms the engine neededs more fuel and air. the stock carb with bigger jets sends more fuel but less air so you can run lean and blow the motor.with the mods your putting in the biggier carb will realy help and keep you from running lean and get you 2 more horses on top of what the mods give you. like i said before the aftermarket carb has a smoothier flow of fuel and air then stock carbs.

springs are always engaged even when the engine is off but i get what you mean. butting in better springs doesnt raise rpms they just let the engine rev highier before the vaules start to float.putting in a aftermarket cdi increase the rev limit by 1000-1300 rpm
He is talking about clutch springs, not Valve springs. It's a 250 2 stroke, No Valves!

Yes, the higher engagement springs will make it rev higher before the clutch kicks in.

getting it bored increase air flow so putting biggier jets will keep it from running lean.i dont know how much it will cost to get it done. if its cheapier then a new carb then go for it.it may not be better then a aftermarket carb in performance and reliabilty.

Ok quick question, where the heck is the cdi box? me and my dad just took all the plastic off and we think it might be on the front grill siting on top of the gas tank, is this true?

Also does everyone think if i get my fly wheel lightend and my carb bored out i will see a big increase in performance gain?

the cdi should be behind the left front wheel and below the gas tank.on a car getting a lightier flywheel has two efects hardier startups and more topend heavire easy startups more lowend.boreing out the carb i dont know how much power it will give you but you should gain in mid and topend.
