I have only had my atv for 5 1/2 months and plan to contact my dealer about this. My atv is camo and is kept in a garage with no windows and also kept clean and for some reason is starting to turn purple. Does ne one if this is covered under the warranty?

This is a very common problem and unless your dealer is cool I doubt it will be covered.

I'm not exactly sure, I have been told that it is due to the sun, but I have hardly used mine so I dont know how it would be. I'm gonna be really pissed if they dont make this right. I never would have paid extra for camo had I known about this.

The only thing that I know is the adheasion process with one of the chemicals is light sensitive. If it is not rinsed right after the process the chemical will change colors. There are a few of them here with the same problems. You can even google it and see how many have problems. Some dealers will warranty it if it has not been too long.

Yea, there was a huge thread on this forum a little while
ago, other feel the same as you do. Hopefully, you can
work it out with your dealer..8)

But I was asking my dealer couple months ago and he
told me that this was common on the older models
but since fixed. Hmm apparently not if yours is only 5 months
old. Hold'em to it man, that camo stuff is way over priced in
my opinion.

Yep, I think the camo stuff is way over priced too. All the more reason they should make it right.

I plan to give them hell if they dont work with me. I just hope it can be settled in a proper manner and not get ugly. I really wish they would just replace my camo with green so that I dont have to worry about it. I guess will see tomorrow.

what yr is yours?
i was assured that the problem was fixed when i bought mine.
i have had mine for about two months, and it still looks good.
dealer did say that they did have a problem, they had some on display that did turn.
i have my fingers crossed.
mine has a build date of 05 2006
