Default 800 Fan - Overheating

There is some kind of regulator behind the radiator, down in front of the steering column that burned out on a buddy mine's 700 Sportsman. He has the same problem with the fan not turning on. We called the dealer and they said that would cause it not to work. I don't know. Check and see if yours has the same part burned out.
I am at that stage right now!!!!!! Waiting for mine to come in!!!!!...
When they go.....they can do different things....Mine would shut the quad off when my headlights are turned on!!!.....Caper................Part # 4011110 on the 2006 SP 450.......

I'll check that SickSixty...thanks for the thread.

Only 8 bolts holding the front end on? That ain't so bad...seems like the more advanced these things get, the more things there is to go wrong...but man I like it when it works!

Thanks everyone.

My MV7 700 HOT light came on when new. Dealer thought surepower box (ECM) was bad and replaced it. This box fixed for about 1 month then atv would not shut off and HOT light came back on. This time, they installed a resistor somewhere in the harness and problem has not returned. Surepower box controls three things. It is a voltage regulator/engine temperature controller/solid state circuit breaker. Was installed under headlight. Also call dealer as there was a recall on 2004 surepower boxes. Good luck
