I just got new rear brake pads for my 00' trail blazer, but when you squeeze the single lever on the handle bars only the front tires lock up, but when you step on the foot brake the back tires lock up, so how do i get the back tires to lock up when i squeeze the single lever brake on the handle bars?

It is set up to have 60% braking force goes to the front and 40% goes to the back, also the back brake only has one disk vs two in the front. You would have to squeeze very hard to lock up the back with the hand brake ,and do not use the foot brake by its self because one disk trying to do all the braking will eat up pads fast.

I would agree with Tim's advice, just using the rear foot brake will wear out the rear pads in a hurry. If you want to lock up all 4 tires, apply the hand brake and the foot brake in tandem. Try varying how hard you brake on each until you can get them all to lock up.

There is a hex head adjustment screw on the front calipers, you can loosen them up to get a more even distribution of breaking power.

not to overlook the obvious, but you did properly bleed out the rear caliper right? Or did you just replace the pads. Bleeding is not always needed, but it seems to be progressive, maybe from a tiny leak in the system.

You should use your rear foot brake regularly. Where the rear pads wear from using the hand brake, the foot brake line can get air in the line and become useless from not using it.
