Yeah, I guess a picture would be easier! Here is a picture. I have circled the outlet in question (one with a question mark) I have labeled the other outlet and line with what I think they are. Let me know if this rings any bells for anyone. Thanks.

In case you can't make out the text, the outlet on the top I believe is the choke overflow/vent outlet. The second outlet from the top is the one I am questioning. The yellowish hose at the bottom is the transmission overflow line that comes up from the tranny.

When you say "the one in front" are you referring to the one at the top of my picture? If so, I agree, I believe that is supposed to be connected via a T-fitting to the vent line coming off of the bowl and two then vented into the frame. The one I am unsure of is the brass one at the bottom of my picture which is circled. I don't think that is a vent line.

the brass fitting by the mouth of the carb(by your trans. line) is a vent line. i still think that the black fitting in the picture circled is supposed to be a blocked off port or it has to hook to a vacume line.

Really? Okay, I will try that. But why would they put an inlet that needed to be blocked off? I would think that if there is a hose fitting on it, it would take a hose. I will try blocking off the black one and see if that works. All the pictures I have seem to show the black fitting being connected via a T-fitting to the vent line from the bowl on the bottom.

its too big for a vent line. the small brass fitting in front would maybe hooked to a "t". sometimes carb. bodies are made for differnt applications where the fitting might be used. hopefully some who reads this has a xplorer to look at or has first hand knowledge of this line. good luck.

I tried blocking off the black outlet and using the brass one as a vent and got nothing.

When you say "its too big for a vent line" actually the black plastic outlet is the same size or smaller than the brass one. I think the picture distorts the size. The black plastic outlet at the top of the picture has a small 90 degree elbow where it tapers down to a very small opening (no bigger than 1/8" ID tubing.

Anybody out there got a 250, 300 or 325 Trailblazer, Xplorer or Xpress? If so, can you tell me what your carb looks like? I believe they are all the same.
